Isthmus Properties Ltd is a privately owned group of property investment companies.
Our primary business activity is the purchase, refurbishment and long term ownership of industrial & retail properties in New Zealand & Australia.
We regard ourselves as added value investors who look for opportunities to modernize, intensify or enhance the use of existing industrial and retail properties. This generally involves the purchase and refurbishment (or extension) of mid-life building stock, but sometimes spare land permits new infill construction.
This business approach allows us to retain income from properties whilst we prepare to reposition them, and then provides for an enhanced investment return post refurbishment.
As at 2016 Isthmus owns a number investment properties in the North Island of New Zealand and 6 in Australia. The typical value range for our properties is NZ$1m - NZ$10m with larger projects occasionally having been joint ventured.
Our secondary business activities include the ownership & management of 2 exotic (pine) plantation forests in the South Island of New Zealand. We also own a small horticulture block in Matakana (north of Auckland) which has a devlopment approval.
